Program information

What would you like to know?

These answers cover the most common questions about programs for teenage girls, parent resources, volunteer service and community partnerships.

Who can participate in Powerful Girl Broadcast programs?

Our programs primarily serve teenage girls and young women. Age ranges may vary by activity. Each registration page identifies the intended age group and any participation requirements.

Parents, caregivers, schools and community partners may contact us when they are unsure whether a program is the right fit.

Are programs virtual or in person?

We offer virtual programs across the United States and in-person opportunities through participating cities and community partners. The registration page will state whether an activity is online, in person or hybrid, along with its location and access details.

How much time should a participant expect to commit?

Most workshops last 60–90 minutes. Individual mentoring and coaching appointments are 60 minutes. Structured cohorts may meet weekly for six to eight sessions. Teen summits, service projects and special events have their own schedules.

Families receive the complete time commitment before confirming participation.

How much do programs cost?

Many community programs and events are free. Individual mentoring and faith-based coaching appointments are currently $75 for 60 minutes. If another program has a fee, it will be clearly stated before registration.

Cost should not prevent participation. Families may email powerfulgirlteam@gmail.com to ask about available support.

Are the Mental Health & Wellness programs therapy?

No. Our mental wellness programs for teens provide age-appropriate education, coping skills, reflection activities and information about support resources. They do not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy or emergency mental-health care.

A participant experiencing an urgent or ongoing mental-health concern should receive help from a parent or caregiver and a qualified healthcare professional.

Does a girl have to follow a particular faith to participate?

No. Powerful Girl Broadcast welcomes girls from different backgrounds. Faith & Character programs are openly Christian and voluntary. School and general community programming can be delivered in an inclusive, nonsectarian format focused on leadership, wellness, safety and life skills.

What outcomes can families expect?

Outcomes depend on the program, but participants may strengthen confidence, communication, leadership, emotional awareness, healthy boundaries, career readiness and goal-setting. Each program identifies practical outcomes, such as a personal action plan, identity statement, boundary script, completed media concept or service experience.

We do not promise identical results for every participant. Growth depends on attendance, engagement and the length of the program.

What safety practices are used when working with minors?

Volunteers who work directly with minors complete required screening and training. Programs use approved supervision, privacy, consent and communication practices, including the two-adult rule when applicable.

Volunteers may not begin private, unapproved communication with a minor. Photography, recordings and public sharing require the appropriate permission and organizational approval.

What happens after registration?

The participant or parent receives the next available program details, including the schedule, format, location or secure virtual-access information and any preparation instructions. Because some programs run in cohorts or on selected dates, registration may place a participant on an interest list until the next session is confirmed.

Can a school, church or community organization request a program?

Yes. Schools, churches, nonprofits and community groups may request workshops, leadership cohorts, teen summits, career panels, community service experiences or youth media activities. We work with partners to clarify the audience, format, learning goals, schedule, supervision and available resources before confirming a program.

Contact our team to request a program.

How can someone volunteer?

Volunteers can serve virtually across the United States or in person where opportunities are available. Roles may include mentoring, outreach, event support, technology, hospitality, administration and program assistance.

Applicants complete the volunteer process, required screening and orientation before receiving an assignment. Complete the volunteer application.

How can donors or sponsors support the programs?

Donations help provide program materials, journals, trained facilitators, technology access, transportation support, venues, meals, accessibility resources and follow-up tools. Donors may give online or contact us to discuss sponsorships and community partnerships.
